Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Virgin and Saint Joseph arriving in Bethlehem by Charles Parrocel was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2000. The price achieved of GBP 1,645.00 (€ 2,620.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Charles Parrocel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La Chasse Au Lion in November 2015 with an auction result of EUR 15,600.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Virgin and Saint Joseph arriving in Bethlehem von Charles Parrocel kam im Dezember 2000 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.645,00 (€ 2.620,47) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles Parrocel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La Chasse Au Lion im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 15.600,00.
