This artwork by Charles Paine achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in November 2010. In the Travel and Vintage Posters auction, the work Boat Race 1925 sold for GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,182.49) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Charles Paine have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Boat Race in October 2012 with an auction result of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 37,299.74).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Charles Paine erzielte im November 2010 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Travel and Vintage Posters wurde die Arbeit Boat Race 1925 für GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.182,49) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles Paine auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Boat Race im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 30.000,00 (€ 37.299,74).
