Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Idomeneus, Directed By Mentor, Witnessing The Happiness Of His Subjects In A Wedding Procession To The Temple by Charles-Nicolas Cochin the Younger was sold in the Old Master Drawings auction at Sothebys in New York in January 2014. The price achieved of USD 5,313.00 (€ 3,935.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles-Nicolas Cochin the Younger achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A seated couple playing backgammon by candlelight in July 2003 with an auction result of GBP 33,460.00 (€ 43,734.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Idomeneus, Directed By Mentor, Witnessing The Happiness Of His Subjects In A Wedding Procession To The Temple von Charles-Nicolas Cochin the Younger wurde im Januar 2014 in der Auktion Old Master Drawings bei Sothebys in New York versteigert.
