In March 2001 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH AND VICTORIAN PAINTINGS, INCLUDING SCOTTISH PICTURES, which included the work Retribution by Charles Hunt. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 18,800.00 (€ 30,335.68), 25% above the upper estimate. With this result, Retribution is even the most expensive work of art by Charles Hunt that we have observed at auctions so far.
