In the Refuge: recognising 50 years of supporting women and children against domestic abuse auction, the work Bella in a Yellow Cardigan sold for GBP 10,837.50 (€ 12,926.86) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 5,500.00. Admittedly, works by Chantal Joffe have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Mother and Child) in September last year with an auction result of USD 90,720.00 (€ 92,732.29).
