Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Self Portrait with Picasso, 1965 by Cecil Beaton was sold in the A Century of Art: Photographs from The Gerald Fineberg Collection auction at Christies in London in October this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 7,560.00 (€ 7,153.67). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cecil Beaton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Audrey Hepburn as Eliza Doolittle, 1963 in September 2017 with an auction result of GBP 93,750.00 (€ 106,360.58).
