Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of Frances, Countess of Warwick by Cecil Beaton was auctioned at Bonhams in London in September this year. The price achieved of GBP 448.00 (€ 448.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cecil Beaton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Audrey Hepburn as Eliza Doolittle, 1963 in September 2017 with an auction result of GBP 93,750.00 (€ 106,360.58).

Die Arbeit Portrait of Frances, Countess of Warwick von Cecil Beaton kam im September diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 448,00 (€ 448,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cecil Beaton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Audrey Hepburn as Eliza Doolittle, 1963 im September 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 93.750,00 (€ 106.360,58).
