Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2018 Christies in London held the auction Audrey Hepburn: The Personal Collection, Part III, which included the work Audrey Hepburn, 1963 by Cecil Beaton. It changed hands for a price of GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,131.51) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cecil Beaton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Audrey Hepburn as Eliza Doolittle, 1963 in September 2017 with an auction result of GBP 93,750.00 (€ 106,360.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2018 führte Christies in London die Auktion Audrey Hepburn: The Personal Collection, Part III durch, in der auch die Arbeit Audrey Hepburn, 1963 von Cecil Beaton zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.131,51) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cecil Beaton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Audrey Hepburn as Eliza Doolittle, 1963 im September 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 93.750,00 (€ 106.360,58).
