Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Still Life With Plums, Grapes, Peaches And A Pomegranate Tied With A Blue Ribbon by Carstian Luyckx was sold in the Old Master Paintings Sale auction at Sothebys in London in April 2008. The price achieved of GBP 14,900.00 (€ 18,995.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carstian Luyckx achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Memento Mori Stillleben mit Musikinstrumenten, Büchern, Noten, Skelett, Schädel und Rüstung. in March 2018 with an auction result of CHF 538,000.00 (€ 458,129.71).
