Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2007 Sothebys in New York held the auction Important Old Master Paintings and European Works of Art, which included the work A Festoon Of Fruits, Including Peaches, Grapes, Plums And Hazelnuts, Suspended By Blue Ribbons Before A Marble Niche, With A Melon Resting On A Ledge Below by Carstian Luyckx. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 54,000.00 (€ 41,544.85) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carstian Luyckx achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Memento Mori Stillleben mit Musikinstrumenten, Büchern, Noten, Skelett, Schädel und Rüstung. in March 2018 with an auction result of CHF 538,000.00 (€ 458,129.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2007 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Important Old Master Paintings and European Works of Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Festoon Of Fruits, Including Peaches, Grapes, Plums And Hazelnuts, Suspended By Blue Ribbons Before A Marble Niche, With A Melon Resting On A Ledge Below von Carstian Luyckx zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 54.000,00 (€ 41.544,85) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carstian Luyckx erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Memento Mori Stillleben mit Musikinstrumenten, Büchern, Noten, Skelett, Schädel und Rüstung. im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 538.000,00 (€ 458.129,71).
