Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Bruno Schulz achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in December 2012. In the Israeli & International Art auction, the work Schoolgirls Taking A Walk sold for USD 40,000.00 (€ 30,335.20) - well above the upper estimate of USD 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bruno Schulz - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Woman Seated On A Couch, A Man At Her Shoe, which sold at auction in December 2013 for USD 118,750.00 (€ 86,181.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Bruno Schulz erzielte im Dezember 2012 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Israeli & International Art wurde die Arbeit Schoolgirls Taking A Walk für USD 40.000,00 (€ 30.335,20) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 18.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Bruno Schulz mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Woman Seated On A Couch, A Man At Her Shoe beobachtet, die im Dezember 2013 für USD 118.750,00 (€ 86.181,87) versteigert wurde.
