Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Fountain Grass, Hawaii, 1980 by Brett Weston was sold in the The Art of Hawaiʻi auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 3,200.00 (€ 2,952.30). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Brett Weston achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Hand And Ear' (Ramiel Mcgehee) in April 2012 with an auction result of USD 62,500.00 (€ 47,244.69).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Fountain Grass, Hawaii, 1980 von Brett Weston wurde im August diesen Jahres in der Auktion The Art of Hawaiʻi bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 3.200,00 (€ 2.952,30) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Brett Weston erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'Hand And Ear' (Ramiel Mcgehee) im April 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 47.244,69).
