In January 2024 Bruun Rasmussen held the auction Modern art and design, which included the work “Mickeys Grandfather” from the series “Mickeys Opera”, 2005 by Bjørn Nørgaard. The result of DKK 8,000.00 (€ 6,991.78) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of DKK 8,000.00 – 10,000.00. Other works by Bjørn Nørgaard have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in January 2024 the work “Den genmodificerede Havfrue” was auctioned for DKK 11,500.00 (€ 10,050.69).
