Sold at the upper estimate price
In October 2011 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work One Amongst Us; and a preliminary study by Betty Swanwick. The auction ended at the price of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 6,943.86), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Other works by Betty Swanwick have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in February 2008 the work The Flight of the Doves was auctioned for GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,992.23).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Oktober 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit One Amongst Us; and a preliminary study von Betty Swanwick zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 6.943,86) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Betty Swanwick konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Februar 2008 die Arbeit The Flight of the Doves für GBP 6.875,00 (€ 8.992,23) versteigert.
