This artwork by Ben Vautier achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in Paris in April this year. In the Contemporary Art auction, the work Ben est seul sold for EUR 5,510.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ben Vautier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait De Duchamp in December 2013 with an auction result of EUR 105,900.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 84 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ben Vautier erzielte im April diesen Jahres bei Artcurial in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Ben est seul für EUR 5.510,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ben Vautier erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait De Duchamp im Dezember 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 105.900,00.
