Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

The work Narcisssus Septentrionalis flo plenoluteo; Narcissus iuncifolius polyanthos albus; Anemone flore multiplici coccineo colore tenuifolia; and Anemone tenuifolia flore purpureo violacea, from Hortus Eystettensis by Basilius Besler was sold in the Christie's Interiors - Style & Spirit auction at Christies in London in May 2011. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,750.00 (€ 2,001.13), 17% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Basilius Besler achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hortus Eystettensis: Eight Plates in November 2006 with an auction result of USD 45,600.00 (€ 34,386.55).

Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.750,00 (€ 2.001,13) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis.
