Auction result fails to reach estimate
When the work “Smallebroen ved Aaen i Sorgenfri” (View from the narrow bridge by the stream in Sorgenfri) by Axel Schovelin was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in Paintings, furniture and varia in September this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously set the estimate at DKK 6,000.00, but this failed to be met - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 3,000.00 (€ 402.21). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Axel Schovelin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work “Kort efter Solnedgang Tuel-Sø ved Sorø”, which sold at auction in February this year for DKK 7,000.00 (€ 940.20).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Als die Arbeit “Smallebroen ved Aaen i Sorgenfri” (View from the narrow bridge by the stream in Sorgenfri) von Axel Schovelin im September diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen in Paintings, furniture and varia versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit DKK 6.000,00 angegeben, den dieses Werk bei seiner Versteigerung leider nicht erreichen konnte - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 3.000,00 (€ 402,21) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Axel Schovelin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit “Kort efter Solnedgang Tuel-Sø ved Sorø” beobachtet, die im Februar diesen Jahres für DKK 7.000,00 (€ 940,20) versteigert wurde.
