The work Circular stoneware bowl modelled with leaves in relief by Axel Salto was sold in the Modern art and design auction at Bruun Rasmussen in November this year. The »bidding war« ended at DKK 24,000.00 (€ 3,218.92), 60% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Axel Salto; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Still life from the series “La Côte d'Azur”, 1926 sold at auction in January 2024 with the realized price of DKK 5,500.00 (€ 4,806.85).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 60 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Circular stoneware bowl modelled with leaves in relief von Axel Salto wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern art and design bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von DKK 24.000,00 (€ 3.218,92) und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Axel Salto; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Still life from the series “La Côte d'Azur”, 1926 im Januar 2024 mit dem Hammerpreis von DKK 5.500,00 (€ 4.806,85).
