This artwork by Avinash Chandra achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March last year. In the Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art auction, the work Untitled (Landscape) sold for USD 35,280.00 (€ 31,803.84) - well above the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Avinash Chandra - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled , which sold at auction in October 2015 for GBP 75,000.00 (€ 104,906.27).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Avinash Chandra erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art wurde die Arbeit Untitled (Landscape) für USD 35.280,00 (€ 31.803,84) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Avinash Chandra mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled beobachtet, die im Oktober 2015 für GBP 75.000,00 (€ 104.906,27) versteigert wurde.
