Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Avinash Chandra could be acquired at Bonhams in October 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art auction, the work Untitled (Erotic Scene) changed hands for GBP 1,083.75 (€ 1,283.95) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Avinash Chandra achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 75,000.00 (€ 104,906.27).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Avinash Chandra konnte im Oktober 2021 bei Bonhams für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art wechselte die Arbeit Untitled (Erotic Scene) für GBP 1.083,75 (€ 1.283,95) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Avinash Chandra erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 75.000,00 (€ 104.906,27).
