Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Banihal Pass, Kashmir) by Avinash Chandra was sold in the Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art auction at Sothebys in London in October 2021. The price achieved of GBP 10,080.00 (€ 11,942.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 9,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Avinash Chandra have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 75,000.00 (€ 104,906.27).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Banihal Pass, Kashmir) von Avinash Chandra wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.080,00 (€ 11.942,08) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 9.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Avinash Chandra auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 75.000,00 (€ 104.906,27).
