Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Moon and the Fountain by Avinash Chandra was sold in the Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art auction at Bonhams in October 2021. The price achieved of GBP 7,905.00 (€ 9,365.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Avinash Chandra achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 75,000.00 (€ 104,906.27).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Moon and the Fountain von Avinash Chandra wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art bei Bonhams versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 7.905,00 (€ 9.365,29) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Avinash Chandra erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 75.000,00 (€ 104.906,27).
