Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Photogram (Bars And Shadows) by Arthur Siegel was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2007. The price achieved of USD 9,375.00 (€ 6,479.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Arthur Siegel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Study Of Negative/Positive Profiles, Vers 1937, which sold at auction in November 2015 for EUR 17,500.00.

Die Arbeit Photogram (Bars And Shadows) von Arthur Siegel kam im Oktober 2007 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 6.479,82) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Arthur Siegel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Study Of Negative/Positive Profiles, Vers 1937 beobachtet, die im November 2015 für EUR 17.500,00 versteigert wurde.
