Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Metropoli by Antonio Sanfilippo was auctioned at Christies in Milan in November 2011, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 13,000.00. Admittedly, works by Antonio Sanfilippo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Senza titolo in November 2020 with an auction result of EUR 62,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Metropoli von Antonio Sanfilippo im November 2011 bei Christies in Mailand versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 13.000,00 den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Antonio Sanfilippo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Senza titolo im November 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 62.500,00.
