Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction European Paintings including German, Austrian & Central European Paintings and The Orientalist Sale, which included the work German Aufziehender Sturm (Approaching Storm) by Anton Braith. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 5,250.00 (€ 6,678.23). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anton Braith - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Heimkehr im Sturm: herding the flock, which sold at auction in April 2007 for EUR 24,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion European Paintings including German, Austrian & Central European Paintings and The Orientalist Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit German Aufziehender Sturm (Approaching Storm) von Anton Braith zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 5.250,00 (€ 6.678,23) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Anton Braith mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Heimkehr im Sturm: herding the flock beobachtet, die im April 2007 für EUR 24.000,00 versteigert wurde.
