Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Adam van Noort (Hollstein, Mauquoy-Hendrickx 8; New Hollstein 7) by Anthony van Dyck was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2021. The price achieved of GBP 1,764.00 (€ 2,068.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anthony van Dyck achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Princess Mary (1631–1660), daughter of King Charles I of England, full-length, in a pink dress decorated with silver embroidery and ribbons in December 2018 with an auction result of GBP 5,858,750.00 (€ 6,527,167.10).
Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of Princess Mary (1631–1660), daughter of King Charles I of England, full-length, in a pink dress decorated with silver embroidery and ribbons im Dezember 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.858.750,00 (€ 6.527.167,10).
