Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of Buxy Gancia by Andy Warhol was sold in the Contemporary Art Evening Auction auction at Sothebys in London in October 2015. The price achieved of GBP 461,000.00 (€ 644,823.85) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andy Warhol achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shot Sage Blue Marilyn in May last year with an auction result of USD 195,040,000.00 (€ 181,753,797.41).

Die Arbeit Portrait Of Buxy Gancia von Andy Warhol wurde im Oktober 2015 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Evening Auction bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 461.000,00 (€ 644.823,85) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Andy Warhol erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Shot Sage Blue Marilyn im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 195.040.000,00 (€ 181.753.797,41).
