Auction result well in line with expectations

The work Aunt Jemima, c. 1980 by Andy Warhol was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2012. It changed hands for a price of USD 6,875.00 (€ 5,284.40) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andy Warhol achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shot Sage Blue Marilyn in May last year with an auction result of USD 195,040,000.00 (€ 181,753,797.41).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Die Arbeit Aunt Jemima, c. 1980 von Andy Warhol kam im November 2012 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 6.875,00 (€ 5.284,40) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Andy Warhol erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Shot Sage Blue Marilyn im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 195.040.000,00 (€ 181.753.797,41).
