The work Italian The Connoisseurs by Andrea Landini was sold in the European Paintings including The Orientalist Sale, Symbolism and the Poetic Vision and Spanish Painting auction at Sothebys in London in November 2008. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 16,250.00 (€ 19,647.47), 63% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Andrea Landini - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A good vintage; and A playful moment, which sold at auction in June 2007 for GBP 42,000.00 (€ 62,325.89).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 63 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Italian The Connoisseurs von Andrea Landini wurde im November 2008 in der Auktion European Paintings including The Orientalist Sale, Symbolism and the Poetic Vision and Spanish Painting bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 16.250,00 (€ 19.647,47) und damit 63% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Andrea Landini mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A good vintage; and A playful moment beobachtet, die im Juni 2007 für GBP 42.000,00 (€ 62.325,89) versteigert wurde.
