Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Italian A Game Of Chess by Andrea Landini for GBP 29,300.00 (€ 41,027.58). This price was achieved in the auction 19th Century Paintings including Spanish Painting and Symbolism & the Poetic Vision at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Andrea Landini have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in June 2007 by the work A good vintage; and A playful moment at GBP 42,000.00 (€ 62,325.89).
