Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Pliage, 1976 by André-Pierre Arnal was auctioned at Artcurial in Paris in December 2011, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 5,000.00 – 6,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 4,590.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by André-Pierre Arnal - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sans titre, which sold at auction in June this year for EUR 13,860.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Pliage, 1976 von André-Pierre Arnal im Dezember 2011 bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 5.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 4.590,00 den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von André-Pierre Arnal mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sans titre beobachtet, die im Juni diesen Jahres für EUR 13.860,00 versteigert wurde.
