Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Les filles de Milton: Une tête ensanglantée ceinte de laurier by Armand Rassenfosse was auctioned at Christies in Paris in March 2004, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 1,410.00. Admittedly, works by Armand Rassenfosse have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La Femme Au Miroir in July 2020 with an auction result of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 11,851.38).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Les filles de Milton: Une tête ensanglantée ceinte de laurier von Armand Rassenfosse im März 2004 bei Christies in Paris versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 1.410,00 den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Armand Rassenfosse auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La Femme Au Miroir im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.625,00 (€ 11.851,38).
