Auction result well in line with expectations
In November this year Phillips in Paris Auction held the auction Impressions Parisiennes: Une Collection de Photographies, which included the work Les Lunettes et la Pipe de Mondrian, Paris by André Kertész. The price achieved of EUR 5,080.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by André Kertész achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Atelier Mondrian, Paris in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 314,000.00 (€ 370,021.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Phillips in Paris Auction die Auktion Impressions Parisiennes: Une Collection de Photographies durch, in der auch die Arbeit Les Lunettes et la Pipe de Mondrian, Paris von André Kertész zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 5.080,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von André Kertész erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Atelier Mondrian, Paris im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 314.000,00 (€ 370.021,21).
