This price was achieved in the auction 19th Century European Paintings at Sothebys in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Anders Andersen-Lundby; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Winter Woodland At Dawn sold at auction in October 2007 with the realized price of GBP 36,500.00 (€ 52,416.40).
