This artwork by Anatoly Demenko achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March 2008. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Young bathers sold for GBP 1,625.00 (€ 2,041.40) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 800.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Anatoly Demenko; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Up Or Down? sold at auction in April 2008 with the realized price of GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,505.86).
