Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2005 Christies in London held the auction TWENTIETH CENTURY BRITISH ART, which included the work Settlement On The Lake; And Four Others By The Same Hand by Alide Goldschmitt. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 336.00 (€ 493.63) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alide Goldschmitt - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Flower Market, Brittany; And Four Others By The Same Hand, which sold at auction in November 2005 for GBP 1,200.00 (€ 1,762.95).
