Auction result misses estimated price range
In December last year a collector was able to acquire the work Lago di Brienz by Alexandre Calame for EUR 800.00. This price was achieved in the auction 19th and 20th century Paintings and Sculptures at Il Ponte and was even below the estimate range of EUR 1,200.00 – 1,300.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexandre Calame achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ruine Unspunnen vor dem Blick auf Eiger, Mönch und Jungfrau, 1860 in June 2010 with an auction result of CHF 324,000.00 (€ 244,654.14).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Lago di Brienz von Alexandre Calame für EUR 800,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 19th and 20th century Paintings and Sculptures bei Il Ponte erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.200,00 – 1.300,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alexandre Calame erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ruine Unspunnen vor dem Blick auf Eiger, Mönch und Jungfrau, 1860 im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 324.000,00 (€ 244.654,14).
