Auction result well in line with expectations
The work German An Arab Caravan by Albert Zimmermann was sold in the 19th Century European Art including The Orientalist Sale auction at Sothebys in New York in April 2008. The price achieved of USD 13,750.00 (€ 8,832.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Albert Zimmermann - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Monaco (Riviera di Ponente), which sold at auction in November 2018 for EUR 27,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit German An Arab Caravan von Albert Zimmermann wurde im April 2008 in der Auktion 19th Century European Art including The Orientalist Sale bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 13.750,00 (€ 8.832,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Albert Zimmermann mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Monaco (Riviera di Ponente) beobachtet, die im November 2018 für EUR 27.500,00 versteigert wurde.
