Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Oriental Garden by Adrian Feint was sold in the Australian, International & Contemporary Paintings Part II auction at Christies in Melbourne in April 2006. The price achieved of AUD 41,825.00 (€ 25,156.62) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 35,000.00 – 45,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Adrian Feint - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work (Native Floral Arrangement), 1960, which sold at auction in November 2018 for AUD 57,340.00 (€ 50,640.29).

Die Arbeit Oriental Garden von Adrian Feint wurde im April 2006 in der Auktion Australian, International & Contemporary Paintings Part II bei Christies in Melbourne versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 41.825,00 (€ 25.156,62) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 35.000,00 – 45.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Adrian Feint mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit (Native Floral Arrangement), 1960 beobachtet, die im November 2018 für AUD 57.340,00 (€ 50.640,29) versteigert wurde.
