In the Important Old Master Paintings and European Works of Art Including Property of the Albright-Knox Art Gallery auction, the work Self Portrait And Portrait Of The Artist'S Wife sold for USD 60,000.00 (€ 44,378.70) - well above the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Adolf Ulrik Wertmüller; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot "Portrait de jeune fille" sold at auction in June 2015 with the realized price of SEK 570,000.00 (€ 61,578.81).
