Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A village in winter at dusk, with skaters in the foreground by Adolf Stademann was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in April 2001. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of NLG 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of NLG 8,225.00 (€ 3,775.12) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Adolf Stademann - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Skaters on the ice, Holland, which sold at auction in April 2005 for EUR 9,000.00.

Die Arbeit A village in winter at dusk, with skaters in the foreground von Adolf Stademann kam im April 2001 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von NLG 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von NLG 8.225,00 (€ 3.775,12) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Adolf Stademann mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Skaters on the ice, Holland beobachtet, die im April 2005 für EUR 9.000,00 versteigert wurde.
