In April 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction The Orientalist Sale, which included the work Germana Raiding Party by Adolf Schreyer. The result of GBP 60,000.00 (€ 68,333.61) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Adolf Schreyer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Chase in April 2005 with an auction result of USD 464,000.00 (€ 359,160.93).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im April 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Orientalist Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Germana Raiding Party von Adolf Schreyer zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 60.000,00 (€ 68.333,61) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Adolf Schreyer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Chase im April 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 464.000,00 (€ 359.160,93).
