Auction result well in line with expectations
The work German Fleeing Wallachian Horses by Adolf Schreyer was sold in the 19th Century European Art auction at Sothebys in New York in February 2019. The price achieved of USD 68,750.00 (€ 60,418.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Adolf Schreyer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Chase in April 2005 with an auction result of USD 464,000.00 (€ 359,160.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit German Fleeing Wallachian Horses von Adolf Schreyer wurde im Februar 2019 in der Auktion 19th Century European Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 68.750,00 (€ 60.418,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Adolf Schreyer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Chase im April 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 464.000,00 (€ 359.160,93).
