Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pescatori e barche sotto costa by Achille Vertunni was auctioned at Christies in Rome in May 2002. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 4,340.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Achille Vertunni - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Lungo Il Tevere, which sold at auction in June 2005 for EUR 10,168.00.

Die Arbeit Pescatori e barche sotto costa von Achille Vertunni kam im Mai 2002 bei Christies in Rom zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 4.340,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Achille Vertunni mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Lungo Il Tevere beobachtet, die im Juni 2005 für EUR 10.168,00 versteigert wurde.
