Auction result well in line with expectations
In July last year Bonhams in New York held the auction Modern and Contemporary Art and Photography from Africa and the Diaspora, which included this untitled work by Aboudia. The price achieved of USD 126,375.00 (€ 123,872.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Aboudia have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in July last year with an auction result of GBP 504,000.00 (€ 601,865.52).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art and Photography from Africa and the Diaspora durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Aboudia zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 126.375,00 (€ 123.872,77) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Aboudia auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Juli letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 504.000,00 (€ 601.865,52).
