In January 2019 Christies in New York held the auction Outsider and Vernacular Art, which included the work Irwin Peter Sicotte, Jr. Symbolically Delineated / The "Sayanpeau," 1936 by A.G. Rizzoli. The price achieved of USD 50,000.00 (€ 43,652.87) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 60,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Irwin Peter Sicotte, Jr. Symbolically Delineated / The "Sayanpeau," 1936 is the most expensive artwork by A.G. Rizzoli that we have observed at auctions so far.
