A gilt-metal and velvet frame containing fourteen portrait miniatures depicting members of the German nobility, including: Charles, Prince of Nassau-Usingen (1712-1775); two portraits of Louise, Landgravine of Hesse-Darmstadt (1729-1818), one by Carl Friedrich Demiani (German, 1768-1823) and her husband George William, Landgrave of Hesse-Darmstadt (1722-1782); Ludwig, Landgrave of Hesse-Darmstadt (1719-1790); Louise, Landgravine of Hesse-Darmstadt (1761-1777); Princess Charlotte of Hesse-Darmstadt, née Countess of Hanau-Lichtenberg; Caroline Augusta of Bavaria (1792-1872); Frederick William I, Elector of Hesse-Cassel (1802-1875) by H. P. Heidemanns (fl. c. 1845-1864); Ludwig I of Bavaria (1786-1868); Princess Louise of Saxe-Hildburghausen (1794-1825); Princess Louise of Hesse-Darmstadt (1761–1829); a lady called Princess Louise Charlotte of Denmark (1789-1864); and Princess Marie, Princess of Hesse, née Princess of Anhalt-Dessau (1814-1895).
