About
I was born in 1960 Frankfurt/Main/Germany, I grew up in an artistic envirement. My artictic path has taken me from wood sculptures to working on paper.The compositions emphasize the depiction of the form and expression of the human body as a manifestation of the thought process itself.
Sculptures gave way to paper as medium of expression . A sheet of white paper forms the foundation for an unlimited range of possibilities. A concentration of lines brings form into being, which in turn dissolves.
Over time my work has changed into an quiet meditative character.
Simplicity and clarity are found in an extensive and lengthy painting process. The line grows out of this complexity in an contemplative atmosphere. Actually this process of painting is as complex as the effort of the viewer to open up to an contemplative content.
I consider my work to be an reflection for this time with its rapidly changing images. My work call for slowing down taking a step back and looking foorward.
