Agnieszka Krawczyk
Agnieszka Krawczyk (d.o.b. 1976, Debica) an artist, architect, graduated from the Faculty of Architecture of the Cracow University of Technology, graduate of Liceum Sztuk Plastycznych (High School of Fine Arts) in Tarnów.
Her favourite technique is oil painting on canvas, in the traditional version and as an assemblage. Well-known themes are created anew by her, by combining geometric abstraction with realistic painting.
The artist’s compositions are made up from interpenetrating surfaces, plans and colours.
Often, they are oblique outlines of objects or silhouettes. The forms encounter, cross, intersect and overlap each other. In her paintings, Agnieszka explores the issues of interaction between objects, strives to simplify shapes, reduces anything unnecessary, to gain enhanced expressive power. The painter endeavours that her art provides us with respite from a world that is overloaded with visual information.
Agnieszka Krawczyk has presented her work in numerous group exhibitions, for example 2nd Review of Contemporary Art in the Szyb Wilson Gallery in Katowice in 2018, and at the IX BWA Exhibition in Tarnów in 2023. Her works are in private collections in Poland and abroad, including in the Konik Kreatywny Collection and in Wiacek Collection.
