»Katharina Hinsberg − Still Lines«: drawings in space

Hand drawings that become sculptural works: Katharina Hinsberg experiments with the boundaries of classical drawing. Beginning February 20, the Villa Zanders Art Museum in Bergisch Gladbach will present expansive works by the German artist in Katharina Hinsberg - Still Lines.

February 20, 2022

Katharina Hinsberg's hand drawings are only an intermediate step on the way to the finished work of art: she creates sculptures and installations with various forms of processing such as cutting or drilling. In this way Hinsberg investigates the relationship of drawings in space. Her works can now be seen from February 20 to August 07, 2022 in Katharina Hinsberg - Still Lines at the Kunstmuseum Villa Zanders in Bergisch Gladbach. The defining element is the simple line, whose diverse design possibilities Hinsberg reveals.

Hinsberg was born in 1967 and is an internationally known artist. She studied fine arts in Munich and Dresden and sculpture in Bordeaux. Since 2011, she has been a professor of conceptual painting at the HBKsaar. Hinsberg can boast not only various presentations in Germany, but also solo exhibitions in Austria, France and the USA.

In addition to public tours and a finissage with an artist talk, the Kunstmuseum Villa Zanders also offers special tours. These include, for example, »Art Lab« and »With Baby to the Museum«. The dates can be found here.Art.Salon
